In this first special effects tutorial Mike Walen shows you how to create a retro vintage effect to your photos called Creamy Vintage. Mike also shows how to save your adjustment settings to create a Preset so you can easily apply the effect to other images. The demonstration is carried out using Photoshop Lightroom 3 and uses a RAW file from a Canon 450D. Download the RAW file used in this tutorial: www.keyimagery.com For free Lightroom 3 presets, check out our website: www.keyimagery.com

Nice video. Very easy to follow and understand.
why would you not provide a link to the 2nd video..
You need to be a little careful with your terminology – there is one error at about 1.40 into the video. You mention that the image is 300dpi and then say this means there are 300 pixels in every SQUARE INCH. This is incorrect! There are 300 pixels along each inch, which equates to 300×300=90,000 pixels per ‘square inch’. If you had a square with only 300 pixels in it (which is impossible, of course) you would have approx 17.32ppi
please upload more tutorial about corel photo paint. upload also how to create rush ID in all sizes using this software
Trying out the X5 trial (thinking of stepping up from X3)… But I’m finding I can’t open a .PNG with a background like X3 used to do. Previously I’d get a masked image, in which I could remove the mask and access areas that were previously ‘hidden’ by the transparency, but now X5 does the same thing Photoshop does; opening an object on a transparent background, or rather, no background.
Any idea how I can do what I… used to be able to do?
@misskatealiceturton RAW format is a file selection made in camera, you either shoot RAW or JPEG. However you should be able to achieve this effect with a JPEG file by changing the White Balance slider +10 or so to neutralize the skin tones.
Very cool tutorial. I like the effect and your emphasis on the slider numbers makes it easy to re-create the preset exactly.
@misskatealiceturton you have to shoot in raw
@keyimagery how do you change it to a RAW file?
man you did an awesome job on that!! I was actually searching for an preset on the internet, but your tutorial gave me an overview how this effect really works!! keep on it!

@keyimagery oooh, that’s right… thank’s, i’ve tought that something wasn’t ok with my Lr… (Sorry about my english)
@gnaek sounds like you’re editing a JPEG file and not a RAW file. Editing a JPEG will mean you only have +100 to -100 colour temperature adjustments.
Temp: 4000??? Why my lightroom has only -100?
very very nice tutorial, thank you very much, and very detailed!
