In this video you will learn how to extract a part of one picture and add it to another. Pick up my DVD with 46 Elements Videos for only $15.00 at: www.jackstechcorner.com
Excellent clear and concise video, that is step by step and explains a little about simple layers. Easy to follow and slow enough to easily understand. Good simple examples and excellent instruction!
OMG SO many times have I tryed to do this but every time i found a vid. for extraction, it called for channels which this doesn’t have so thank you SO much!
Mine has the Magic Extractor as the last menu. Maybe try to reinstall the software? I am stumped on this one. You could also call Adobe and ask their free support.
Thanks for your prompt response. That is what I’ve done – there is no ‘magic extractor’ My drop down under ‘image’ is
Rotate – Transform – Crop – Divide Scanned Photos – Resize – Mode – Convert Color Profile. None of those options are showing ‘magic ex’. A search in help came up with no results. The manual explains the same thing as you. Still can’t find magic ex
I just checked on my Mac and if you have an image open, then click on the PULL DOWN menu for IMAGE and then the last one is Magic Extractor. Hope this helps.
Very helpful. I thought my problems were solved. However, when I tried to follow your instructions I discovered that there is no ‘magic extractor’ selection under ‘image’. I’m using pse 6 on a mac. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The real truth is that you would not want any shadows with your pictures. The shadow on this picture was really a mistake.
Thanks for writing in to the show.
