Why the hell would she wanna be 15 pounds lighter anyway, she’d look like an anorexic. . The bottom line is that she looks great the way she is, without the ridiculous standards of beauty. .
i think it should be banned. because its kinda like the audience and/or everyone who reads or sees these magazines,is being lied to. i dont think thats necessary i mean,if a person does not look good enough to be on a magazine and has to be photo shopped then find someone who does look good enough. now thats not impossible theres many women and/or men out there who do look good enough to be on magazines without being photo shopped
It is depressing for people to see photo-shopped pictures of women and wonder why it’s so hard to be “beautiful”, but I wonder how it feels for the actual model, to know that she can’t live up to her own image. We have to try to realise that these pictures can’t be taken seriously.
In my opinion, a little photoshoping on any picture of a person isn’t a bad thing, because the picture is still and motionless, you can point out more of the person’s “flaws” rather than focusing on him/her; however, I agree that most magazines do way too much retouching on celebrities and idols.
btw, I do photoshoping for living
Oh sweety. . . . please. . . you didn’t any photo shoping in the first place. . . I would do things to you that you couldn’t pronounce. . . . yet leave you wondering why you wouldn’t want more
BAN IT !! its just toooo much pressure on teenagers mostly, probs why most girls have disorders cos of ‘the look’ there giving off, to be perfect and slim.
Who says the “perfect” body shape is impossible? Sure it’s rare but with the massive diversity of phenotypes in humans I’m sure some people out there at some point in their lives will have the perfect body. Are you trying to say you’ve never seen a hot girl in real life? So how is there any difference in the way magazines try to tell women how to look than the way the media tell me to be rich? You put forth no counter argument I don’t even know how to respond.
Your view of reality is so warped. The photo editors are the ones who create the bodies that are unattainable. These photos are for magazines that try to tell women how they should look. The girls who read it are indeed misguided by these magazines, but that’s a natural and unfortunate outcome. Bill Gates wealth isn’t Photoshoped. And there is a whole other pop-culture world of wanting money. But I can’t even comprehend how you came up with the analogy of Gate’s wealth and beauty.
Ye you’re right, you probably should ring him and ask for some money, just explain everything that you’v said here to him and I’m sure he’ll oblige, he is practically stealing from you, I mean you’re the victim here.
Yeah, photoshop makes her look uglier irl.
This is how we wind up getting obsessed, speaking about the body. We wanna have a smaller waist and all that, now. . I’m not good at English so I really can’t formulate myself the way I want to but. . In the end of the century we’ll all be so obsessed that we’ll eventually stop eating.
I hate this retarded anti-Photoshop argument. It’s not photo editors fault that some misguided girls have eating disorders. If I’m poor and I strive to be like Bill Gates, but fail miserably trying to replicate his success, is it the media’s fault for showing me how rich Bill is? It’s the same nonsense argument.
It’s like you know they Photoshop, but you hardly realize the extent. They do it so often that we almost expect it. That’s why those “celebrity cellulite” or “celebs w/o makeup” magazine covers sell so much. We’re shocked because we never see the real them otherwise so it seems worse than it really is.
