This is a great book for creative people, inspiration and motivation (but in a good way, not an "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough and gosh darn people like me" kind of way). I love it.

Designers are now by nature, but relatively few have taken this route to success. This book, written in collaboration with design writer Steven Heller prolific is a good starting point as a resource for designers who want the next step. In fact, I know of no other book that addresses this issue, so it may be the only resource especially for designers. Interviews with employers design are interesting to read, and there is plenty to find resources, but I feel the book falls a little "short of providing specific information that designers really need. For example, Chapter 2: from idea to product is only 5 pages and amounts to a checklist. It is a good list, but skimp on features. The chapters of examples of projects provide few details, but you have to dig up and strengthen the vital information for you. For example, if a designer says he or she first had a prototype, which is good to know. But it would be much more useful to also learn something about the person who made the prototype, and as a designer first found that person. The subtitle of the book, Turning Graphic Design into the products they sell, which gives the impression that the book is to help designers learn how to do it. There are some good tips, but every designer in the hope of turning ideas into products will go beyond this book for more specific information. I love this book for the inspiration it provides, and a list of resources on the back of the book. Heller and Talarico have included examples and interviews from a high bandwidth of styles and experiments.

The cover and description of this book is misleading. Who says being on the products they sell, but many projects in the book very little money or even lose money. Some examples are the students of the author and I prefer to know more about the products / projects that were longer and have more concrete results. The design of the book is enjoyable, and the photos are beautiful. Not questioned parts of the book are very generic, boring, and do not offer much practical advice. The interviews provide insight into the mind of the Creator, but most do not address any specific or process that is going to get a final product. I started trying to read the entire book, but ended up just skimming my way through most of it. Overall, I was disappointed and feel like I wasted my money on that. If you want to learn more about why developers are free to create their own products and how they are happy (even if they do not have money for that), then this book is for you. If you've already decided to offer their products and want practical advice on specific production, prices, etc., look elsewhere.

Watch the video here: http://www. amazon. This paperback is red com/review/R18XMT61G6502A which is housed in a cut case of black cardboard. I wonder why the designer, including the case, which has a particular purpose. This book is intended for graphic designers, especially those who want to turn their projects into products, and product designers. There are three chapters discuss the general process of conceptualizing the idea of selling the product. These tips on how to sell the product is good to know, but they are really large. Any business book of the Dummies series offer much more depth and better integration of this book. Play for departure operations is mandatory if you really start a business. There are many details to take note. If you decide to go and create your own product, this book offers many opportunities. They come from over 60 interviews with designers who have designed and sold its products – which are the customers themselves. It is fascinating to read their success stories, learn some tips and gain some experience out of them. The number of interviews ensures that most of the commercial to speak to him, such as distribution, business strategy formulation, funding and other things from the perspective of a designer. We recommend this book to all developers who intend to sell products designed by themselves. My vote for this book is 4 stars, because it is a book aimed at specific market niche. Even so, there should be written on the challenges and obstacles. The sale is not as simple as the examples in the book show. Side note – I once asked a timetable, obtained the bond and sold it. Only able to sell 20 copies, but it's fun. And work very hard. There are other images of the book on my blog. Just visit my profile for the Amazon link.
