hey. have you ever used a photo mask? Would you be able to make a tutorial? I can’t find one. you know what I mean by photo mask. Like you google photo mask and they give you (usually) a black shape and you use it to make your picture that shape. I have no clue how to do it in gimp! this was very informative.
Glad it helped! There’s other ways too, like using the path tool to trace the edge and then selecting “Path to selection”. This method is fast and easy for new users to understand though, when used on images with a pretty clear difference between foreground and background.
