Altitude is one of the best (if not THE best) graphic design books I’ve ever seen.

This book comes in a beautiful black linen hard jacket/box with embossed red writing ‘Altitude’. The book inside: spine is stitched and bare, so you can see the construction. The book itself is beautifully laid out. The work inside is quite conceptual and contempory. It features student work for design instites so heavy on concept in places – great to browse for ideas as common materials such as circuit boards, topographical maps, stitch, inkwork are used. The compositions and structure of layout is interesting too. My favorite design book closely followed by ‘All Messed Up’, and Illusive for book design.
