How to change the size of box I designed using Adobe PhotoShop CS 3?
Mr. Principal asked:
I have designed a box using Adobe PhotoShop CS 3. However, I do not know how to adjust the size of the box I designed. What is the correct way to change the size? Please list the step-by-step instructions.

Well you can go about this two ways (I work with AI10) I’ve done some designing on CS3 but prefer the older versions.
If it is a flat box or “Rectangle Tool (M)” then simply click on the cursor icon on your toolbar (left side of the screen) upper left hand corner. If you want to get a more accurate size. Go to “Window” on your Menu bar at the top of the screen go down to “Transform” click on it a small box will appear. Now if you haven’t already changed the unit of measurement over to “inches” or “metric” from points then you can do so by creating a new window and change the unit from “pi” to “in”. Point is the Default which really confuses me I have no idea how to use points. …. lol.. . After you’ve done so you can change the X and Y axis; X - horizontial; Y - Vertical. =)
If the box fills the entire area of the file you can go to Edit and change the Image Size, if you don’t want it to change proportionally you should unclick the Constrain Proportions option and insert the new sizes. If this is for the web you should use the pixels option for print you should use imperial or metric measurements. The problem with unconstrained proportions is that details in the box will distort, a further problem is that the resolution will not improve if you enlarge the box.
